Kalbarri is the Gold Coast of the west, although it has not yet been over-developed to the same extent as the Gold Coast. We has some lovely walks along the cliff tops overlooking the ocean spotting quite a few migrating whales about 200 metres off shore and watching Kestrals work the ridge lift of the evening breeze. The nearby national park has some contemporary structures and the gorges have to be seen although the road in is VERY rough.
