Burra, an old mining town, is a convenient stop-off on the way to the Flinders Ranges or to the West. We have stayed there a number of times now. The caravan park, located on the Burra Creek, is small and well patronised so you need to book ahead. You can also camp out of town at Red Banks Conservation Park. Take Eastern Rd about 15Km out of Burra on road to Morgan. Significant megafauna remains have been discovered here.
