The Blue Rag track is a very scenic track, starting from the Dargo Plains road near Mount Hotham. It should not be attempted without low range gears and good clearance. The track is rocky with steep sections. Two short sections are quite steep with medium sized loose rocks. The track is not a through road and the only way out is back the way you came. As you can see from the photos the track mostly follows the ridge line. It is very popular especially at weekends and holidays. You may find yourself waiting for convoys to pass before you can proceed in section.
