Whitfield is in the wine growing area of Victoria in the King River valley. Wine lovers flock to the Queens Birthday weekend festival. At the edge of Whitfield is Gentle Annie camping ground. There are also areas by the King River where many choose to camp. As well as the wineries there are meny walking and 4wd tracks and Lake William Hovell. There is adventure rafting and canoeing on the lake and the river. Visit Ryans hut or have a picnic at Powers Lookout, where the bushranger Harry Power watched for approaching troopers. Enjoy a 4wd trip over the Black Range Track.
