Canning - Wells 1, 2 & 3Departed Wiluna Laagar 8am & spent about two hours around town. Meg went to the Art gallery. Their manager had just left after three successful years there with a very exiting group of painters. Meg arranged for them to post a ‘present’ for her after six weeks to coincide with our return home.Well 1 is off the track and a short drive from town. Passed several cars coming off the track from the North who were very glad to be finished! It was easy driving with a few rutted sections and rocky bars across sections of the road. The wildflowers were not prolific but around, the usuals we have seen so far. Orange peaflower at Well 3 with also some specimens of the rare acacia the red mulga mostly in creek bedsLunch stop on a rocky plateau with low scrub. Hot today and sunny. Difficult to find shade.Found a great camp spot, a treed area with a shady camp site and enough cleared areas for about five vans/tents. Great campfire that night thanks to Russ. A pleasant drive and nice day
