Walk down rainforest tracks with huge ferns beside bubbling creeks to Tarra and Cyathea Falls. Listen to and watch Lyre Birds sing and dance or bath in the clear waters. Climb the steps down to Tarra Falls and experience the magic of Tarra Valley. We listened to the song of a Lyre Bird and then watched him sing & dance then bathe in the clear waters of the creek.
Accomodation
There are two caravan parks but the road through Tarra Valley is narrow and not suitable for vehicles over 8 metres in length from the Grand Ridge Road. Long vehicles must enter via Yarram. At Balook is the historic Tarra Bolga Guest House and Cafe. We plan to stay here on our return visit in February.
Location
The valley lies between Yarram and the Grand Ridge road at Balook beside the Tarra Bolga National park in Gippsland.
